My Story
Sitara Nadiya Mahmood received her 200 Hour CYT in Costa Rica in 2016 at the Marianne Wells Yoga School. She took her first yoga class in 2005 at George Mason University and continued to take classes sporadically.
Nadiya became centered, grounded, and found a sense of belonging in the yoga studios she began attending in 2012-2013. Since then she became a daily practitioner. Yoga brought love and peace into her heart and she realized it was her purpose to share this love with others. Quickly she learned this was her passion and her life’s purpose: share the joy of yoga with others. Yoga is so much more than movement— it is a lifestyle. Nadiya wants the world to enjoy not only the movement of yoga, but the breathing, spirituality, history, and philosophy of the practice....
